Terms of Warranty
Dear Customer, Solar World Electric Technology Ltd appreciates your patronage. Kindly make all payments into all approved Solar World Electric Technology Limited Bank Accounts.
KINDLY NOTE that due to current market and economic realities, all prices as shown in this invoice are valid for a period not exceeding 48 HOURS from the invoice date.
INSTALLATION TERMS
- For Installation of 3.5KVA and below;
Provision made for DC Cables are not more than 20 Meters, and not more than 7 Meters for AC Cables.
- For Installation of 5KVA and above;
Provision made for DC Cables are not more than 25 Meters and not more than 10 Meters for AC Cable
- For Sites that requires scaffolding for panels placement on roofs, the customer will bear the cost of the scaffold rental.
- Failure to complete payment within Seven (7) days after installation is completed voids both Service and Product.
WARRANTY TERMS

WARRANTY TERMS OF SERVICE
WARRANTY ON PRODUCTS
- Our Inverters and Batteries each have a warranty (repair or replace) period of 24 months from date of purchase. (Please see the Returns and Refunds Policy for further guidance)
- Our Lithium Batteries have a warranty (repair or replace) period of 60 months from date of purchase. (Please see the Returns and Refunds Policy for further guidance)
- Solar panels have a warranty period of 20 years from the date of purchase. (Please see the Returns and Refunds Policy for further guidance)
- We offer One (1) year free maintenance on our products
- We offer One (1) year warranty on all our charge controllers, if performance fails in the period of 6 months the customer will pay 50% of the current market price
i. Warranty on Inverter is limited to repairs and replacement of service parts as deemed necessary after a thorough inspection/assessment has been done by the Company.
ii. Where customer wants an outright replacement of Inverter during the warranty period, and upon inspection and satisfaction by the company that its failure was not a factory error, the customer will bear the cost of inflation, installation and any other cost the company deems fit on the new Inverter.
iii. Warranty on panels does not cover defects which include but are not limited to usage, customer error, movement of panels from the previously installed roof to a new one without the professional help of our technical staff.
iv. Warranty on Panels do not also cover the falling or damage of panels that are occasioned by Force Majeure or Acts of God and Humans which include but are not limited to heavy winds, rainfall, floods, lightening strikes, earthquakes, landslides, fire outbreak, explosions, labor strikes, armed conflicts, war, terrorism, civil disruption, labor strikes etc.
v. Warranty does not cover defects, resulting from usage.
vi. Warranty does not cover products that are not installed by our professional team.
vii. Customers are advised to review the job done by our team immediately after their panels have been installed and are also advised to report any error to our dedicated Customer Service Team in order for us to assess/inspect the site.
viii. Where a customer does not raise a complaint within the first week after a Solar Panel installation has been completed, the Company will not be liable for any roof damage
ix. Kindly note that NO customer error is covered by warranty. Determination of what applies as Customer Error will be at the discretion of the Company.
x. Provision of Stop-Gap products to customers will be at the discretion of the Company and not at the insistence of the Customer.
xi. Warranty does not cover products that are not installed by our professional team.
xii. Warranty on batteries does not cover defects occasioned by external factors such as overcharging or under charging. Bulging or swelling up of batteries is directly due to overcharging which is considered an external factor. Our professional team will conduct an analysis on the batteries to check for overcharging and under charging before any repair or refund is processed.
xiii. Batteries with Two (2) year warranty: If the battery performance reduces after twelve (12) months of purchase, and upon inspection and satisfaction by the company that its failure was not a factory error, the customer will pay 50% of the current market price of the battery before replacement and the Company will take possession of the old batteries.
xiv. Batteries with two (2) years warranty: If the battery performance reduces after Eighteen (18) months of purchase, and upon inspection and satisfaction by the company that its failure was not a factory error, the customer will pay 75% of the current market price of the battery before replacement and the Company will take possession of the old batteries.
xv. Batteries with Five (5) years warranty: If the battery performance reduces after Thirty (30) months, and upon inspection and satisfaction by the company that its failure was not a factory error, the customer will pay 50% of the current market price of the battery replacement and the Company will take possession of the old batteries.
xvi. Warranty however, will be voided if:
1. Product has been found tampered.
2. If our product is exposed to earthing leakages.
3. The battery is found physically damaged.
4. Customers employ the services of external technicians that are not a staff of our Company to do any other work on our products after full installation has been done by our staff.
5. Customers add extra load to what was previously installed by our Technical Staff
6. Battery terminals are tampered.
7. Public power supply instability or surge is prevalent.
8. Battery is blasted due to blockage of vent plugs in case of flooded batteries
9. If the battery is misused or negligence by the customer or product deployed to any other than the prescribed use.
10. If product is exposed to fire, earthquake, flood, strong winds, heavy rainfall, lightning or any other acts of nature.
11. Batteries are not installed in rack/pallets.
12. If product is improperly installed, except done by our staff.
13. If batteries are overloaded.
14. Battery is not getting daily constant charge 6-8 hours in the absence of Solar panels.
15. Documents needed for replacement are not provided.
xvii. Maintenance of tubular batteries require distilled water and customers are expected to pay for distilled water only.
xviii. Customers are advised to ensure that installations are done by any of our technical staff. This is to avoid installation errors that can cause defects in the system
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
Heat generating appliances such as pressing irons, electric cookers, kettles, water heaters etc. are not recommended for use on this system. (However, it is not applicable to systems of 10kva capacity and above.) Cost of logistics for sites outside our city of location will be covered by the client. Installation and Logistics fees are non-refundable. Customers will bear 100% of any loss incurred after employing the services of an External Technician for maintenance, repairs or addition of load to the systems already installed by our Technical Staff There are clear provisions for refunds and returns where necessary. Kindly refer to our Refunds and Returns Policy for further information. Due to economic realities, the company reserves the right to vary prices of products and services to reflect market realities per time. We also reserve the right to vary or add to the terms of our warranty as the company deems it necessary without prior warning.
